Jose Vasquez FNP-BC, PMHNP-BC
He is a board-certified nurse practitioner in psychiatry and family medicine, with more than 22 years of training and experience treating patients with psychiatric disorders across the lifespan and across practice settings. His family medicine experience illustrated the gap between medical and psychiatric care, and how the mind/body connection is often ignored. These gaps in care encouraged Jose to pursue a post graduate degree as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner from the University of Health Sciences Center (Denver) and a master’s degree as a Family Nurse Practitioner form the University of Northern Colorado (Greeley). From inpatient hospitals to outpatient clinics, Jose brings to clinic a humanistic philosophy of holistic care for both mind and body, and an abiding commitment to individualized, personalized, comprehensive care for patients.
In addition to his professional experience, Jose’s interests include world travel, exercising, playing racquetball, spending time with his 3 children and friends/ family. His private practice focuses on integrative mental health services for emotional and physical well-being with a focus on psychopharmacology.
